"Wondering about the previous renter?"

A slight incline of his head is his answer, along with a thin, pensive smile. "And many other things," the Fool replies, before lapsing into another spell of silence in which he considers his reflection in the milky surface of his tea, and then allows his gaze to wander the interior of his modest apartment. There are still traces of the Bresilykian woman who lived here previously; little mementos that perhaps she had abandoned in a hurry, but which the Fool has set aside for her or her relatives, in the event anyone comes to call searching for them.

"I have to wonder," he muses softly, "what desperate lengths the residents of this world must be pushed to by a Dreaming that can pull them, or their loved ones, from the only existence they've ever known, while propelling strangers into their midst instead." Up comes the teacup for a sip, before he sets it aside again, his fingers lingering on the handle. "It must be a frightening way to live."

After a moment, he looks to his friend again and quirks another small smile. (The sadness he's been staving off since Fitz's disappearance is beginning to slip into his expression again, despite his best efforts.) "Thank you for looking into this for me."
