"You're welcome," Pepper replied, clearly as pleased by the idea of sparring as Yato was, though for different reasons. "It's good practice for me, too, since I'm usually the one doing the hands-on fighting."

Vee was more likely to keep up with Yato than Pepper, however. The ka's smile turned a little wry. This size is more convenient for fitting indoors, she agreed. It took some practice.

The Knight removed one of her sword belts and offered it to Yato. It wasn't the katana he would be accustomed to, but that would add another interesting element for him.
