The Assailant is ready for the attack, and Devin's suspicion of the overlarge weapon is correct; it's brought around at a much higher speed than should be possible for something of its bulky size. It connects with Devin's blade as solidly as anything real though, no matter how it came to this place, and Bakura occupies a low wall to sit on that's well out of the way, giving the two fighters plenty of room to really open it up if they want to.
