The Fool is certainly not offended by Rutile's eagerness to examine his work, and in fact allows a wry, closed-mouth smile to curve up the corners of his mouth as he follows them to the display case. He lifts the glass covering so that the work may be better seen, but does not put on his mercantile demeanour for Rutile; if they choose something, it would be better to let it be a piece that speaks to them, and not something that the Fool supposes they might like.
Yet when they give voice to one of his more carefully concealed worries, he cannot help but frown and press his lips together. What will he do if there is a rent increase?
His doubt is only a momentary flicker across his angular features before he puts on another smile, lifting his chin. "Improvisation has always been a strength of mine," he replies with an artless gesture. "I shall make do."
