Trahearne was lately visiting the beach more often than he ever had before, but he still enjoyed taking walks near the water when he needed to occupy himself. The heat was hardly a bother to him considering his home city was on the edge of a jungle; in fact, Trahearne was visibly a more healthy green than he had been when he first arrived here.
It did feel more comfortable near the ocean, with the welcoming breeze there to chase away some of the heat. Trahearne had stopped for a moment on one of the walkways leading down to the beach when he heard that cry. He jogged over without a second thought, not realizing until he was much closer that the dark head of hair he'd seen belonged to Valdis.
"What's this? Is there some kind of trouble?" he asked, leaning over to pick up the discarded sketchbook.
