Meira's head shot up and she scrambled backwards, flipping over the arm of the couch with a startled yelp and a small crash. Anani jumped after her, mewing loudly. She sat on the floor, a very confused look in her eyes, as if she wasn't entirely sure why she had panicked, but she glanced at Luthien. The small creature didn't look like a demon, she was fluffy and Anani liked her, but she fed on energy like ones her father had spoken about when he thought she wasn't listening.
