Hugs are still Very Weird, but he's adapting, like a feral cat brought into a loving home. "This is all a ploy to get me to cook for you," he says, and grins. "I won't say no. I miss it." He does miss their shared house, but he knows that growing up means growing apart, in some ways, and living their own lives. It's like that here; it's like that, in some ways, back on Earth. And somehow, a lot more complicated there.

"I've met a nice Arybar family that lives across the hall. I'm still trying to get settled in before I go around meeting people." He's even trying to be sociable.
