The path through the wall was a bit disconcerting, but not nearly as disconcerting as what lay on the other side. Valdis moved around the area, glancing in the offices as Raven looked in the lab. The first thing she noticed are the bodies and how well preserved they are. The smell of scorched ground lingered, even with how stale the air in the rooms seemed. There wasn't any dust that suggested passage of time, the seal must have been airtight.

Valdis backed out of the current office and walked up to Raven's side, taking in the destruction.

"Probably the one thing in the room that looks untouched," she replied, gesturing at the ring, "I wonder what they were doing."
