I Want All The Dinglehoppers
Characters: Captain Bastien Courbis & Tony Stark
Date: November 23rd
Location: Aifaran (mainly the docks)
Situation: There's something about pillaging and looting that just appeals to this little merman out of water. Maybe he likes "shiny things" a little too much.
Warnings/Rating: PG-13
[It shouldn't come as any surprise that Bastien likes to hangout by the pier. Something about the salt within the breeze and the cry of the seagulls lures him back every time. Even with the weather getting cooler, Bastien slips out from his regular schedule of masquerading as a guard for a dip in the water. He's a merman after all. Bastien literally belongs to the sea. Despite being able to sprout legs ashore, the merpirate prefers getting lost out there at sea. He swims about within the depths of this brilliant blue sea with a mind for exploration. There's lots of nifty trinkets down here by the docks. Everything from large seashells to shiny junk that has long lost its luster. Whatever Bastien can find, he brings back with him to the sore in a neat little pile within the tide. He keeps up with practice, constantly finding more shiny things to bring back ashore until exhaustion.
Once thoroughly done scavenging for useless treasures, the merpirate just floats languidly in the water in his bright blue scales. There's not many fishermen out, so he can't steal a trout or two. While Bastien is a rather good fisherman in his own right, he's a lazy cuss who doesn't want to work for his meal. He much rather attempt to step something from a net rather than hunt for his own food. Though, the last time he done that...he had to have Trahearne rescue him.
A giddy smirk settle upon his lips as he thinks of Trahearne. It still amazes him to this day that his dear fern loves him. He's quite aware that Trahearne is too good for the likes of him but he likes the challenge. To be with him, Bastien would easily cut his tries with his unsavory occupation. That's how much he adores his ferny-luv.]
Meh? [He turns to his side once he sports something odd floating nearby.] What's that...?
[Feeling a tad curious, Bastien ducks underwater again as he makes his way towards the curious object.
