Valdis didn't move, unsure how to name the man speaking to her, but knowing they were friends. Thinking about it made her head hurt more, so she tried not to. Another clap of thunder made her flinch, but the flinch sent another sharp pain through her head.
"Yeah," she murmured, "It helps to not have the emotions of over a hundred thousand people screaming in my head."
She took a slow breath, her heartbeat and voice still too loud, but the darkness helped, so she kept her eyes closed.
"This happened to Miles," her voice wavered as she tried to push away all the sensations bombarding her senses, "All his senses...elevated."
Valdis shrank against the rock wall, curling her knees to her chest, trying to keep breathing. Over a hundred thousand...the fact her heart hadn't given out was a miracle at the very least, even waking up could be considered a relief on some level. She supposed she had...her friend to thank for that.
"Are you ok?" His breath still came too hard, even carrying her at full speed shouldn't have left him so breathless.
