Lightning tree effect: For the next 48 hours after touching the tree, the color will drain out of everything Sheena touches directly, leaving the object or creature in grayscale. Once the effect fades for her, the color will slowly return to whatever she has come into contact with. The effect does not pass from one object to another, so if she wears gloves, for example, only the gloves will lose their color. Her dreams will also be in black-and-white for the duration, and feature the objects and creatures she has touched.
Volunteer Group Discoverable: While out assisting with debris cleanup, Sheena will be tasked to help collect (and sometimes shovel) sodden papers and books that are beyond saving and will be recycled into new paper if clean. As she digs through a pile, she will find one book that is remarkably, impossibly dry. It turns out to be a blank journal that absorbs all manner and color of ink and other liquid until the page becomes blank again - except if the ink is blood. That will remain just fine.
