The tree the Fool chooses to touch has extraordinary origins, as they all do. Trees surely oughtn't spring full-grown from lightning after all, and the information his Skill touch can glean is similarly abstruse. It is both as young as a wind-blown seedling, and as old as a towering oak. It is at once a tree like any other he might touch, and yet not just a tree. The closest comparison would be that the tree is displaying an example of symbiosis, but he'll be unable to determine what else is part of the symbiotic relationship even though its distinct enough to notice.
At first, it will seem as though nothing else has happened after touching the tree. As soon as he draws near anything stone, however, he'll begin hallucinating that the stones are talking to him, but they're strangely supportive and approve of his dress sense. The effect will last for 48 hours.
