The seven headed dragon roared, lashing the air with its tail and slowly fading from view, along with all the damage done to building. Several nurses looked very confused, and Rikkan had returned and looked rather stunned. Valdis threw herself away from Miles, retreating across the room.

"Everything is fine," she told the nurses, "Just the Dreaming pulling shenanigans."

They nodded, looking less tense, though Valdis suspected they would be talking about this for a few days at least. She turned back to Miles, her eyes filled with rage, but she pushed it away. It wasn't his fault the Dreaming had chosen to summon Sleeping Beauty's story.
