Trahearne certainly wasn't always observant, and less so at this time of night, when he was somewhat drowsy himself. He had just sat down, his pile of books set on a table next to his chair, when the sudden voice nearly startles him into dropping the book he had picked off the top.
"Oh! My apologies, I didn't see you over there." Offering him a small smile in return, Trahearne shakes his head. "It's not for the solitude that I'm here - but if you'd rather I leave, I could do that. There's other places I could sit and read."
