"Yes, he is, I guess." She was still quite startled by her normally friendly cat's reaction. Then Anani dug in his claws, tail lashing as he continued to hiss. Valdis grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and pulled him off of her. He flailed slightly, and then mewed, falling limp as she gathered him up in her arms.
