Klaus's resting expression could be rather intimidating regardless of his mood - it was just the unfortunate way it was. But the expression he shot Devin could be described as nothing short of livid.
He turned his attention from the laughing vampire and instead gave Trahearne a small nod.
"I understand how you feel," said Klaus slowly, "more than you can know. However, Mr. Parker has shown in the past he's not a slave to his darker impulses."
Another glare at Devin.
"...Beyond the occasional deliberate provocation." And once again his tone, whilke not loud, had an unusual edge to it. "What were you two thinking? In a place like this - what would you have done if someone who couldn't fight back got caught in the crossfire of this little spat?"
