Valdis leaned down to release Anani. The cat fluffed up his tail and darted away, turning the corner and vanishing from sight. Valdis watched him go, her head tipped in confusion. One more glance at Trahearne, a short shrug and she moved after her strange cat, thinking to head back to her room.
