To be so unique was to be utterly lonely. Maybe, though, it did not always have to be that way.
"And people wonder why I'm so averse to forming attachments," he sighed, raising his head. She'd argued with him about that before, and it probably wouldn't be the last time. "I think it's probably good that we're different. Two of me would be insufferable, wouldn't it."
