Characters: Lobco (
justsomeshrimp), Kei (
consumeation) and Ilda (
ilda)
Date: April 6
Location: Breakwater Wing Room 8
Situation: Hoping to get to know her room mates better, Lobco makes some snacks for them!
Warnings/Rating: None. If anything pops up, I shall edit.
[Lobco had now been here for well over a month.
Much of that time had been spent exploring the city, trying to get as much information out of the natives as she could, and fretting.
Lots and lots of fretting. Fretting over what may become of her witch and fellow familiars, because she could not make 'curfew'. Yet as time passed, and she could not only still feel that connection she that tied her to her witch and the others, but also that it did not weaken, she realized what she feared would not come to be. In retrospect, the shrimp figured she should have realized why her fears would not come to be, and now that she had that reassurance she had allowed herself to think that maybe this 'kidnapping' was a blessing for her.
As such, she would allow herself to calm down and simply make the best of her time here.
That meant perhaps reaching out to those she shared a room with. She had not talked much with Kei or Ilda past their first meetings, due to aforementioned scouring for information but now that her heart was calmed she felt a little guilty about it.
Using the small kitchen located in the wing, Lobco had done one of the things she loves to do the most: cook! Nothing too fancy, as she didn't really know what sort of diets her roommates kept, or what they liked, but she felt that tea and biscuits were always a safe way to go.
Or. Well. She hoped.
Tray in hand she returned to their room and peeked inside, hoping both were still there. To her relief, they were.]
...Kei? Ilda? I made some snacks, if you two would like. I thought maybe we could chat...for no particular reason! Just that it might be nice to get to know each other a little more. [Her confidence was quickly waning as she spoke, but she held out till the end without mumbling or looking away]

I got it. Thank you.
[She's glad they both seem interested. She places the tray down on the nearest table and sits down.]
Have your days been going well?

I’m doing good, so far! I’ve been walking around the city, talking to people... there was this cool girl jumping on the rooftops the other day, and I got to meet someone at the Turtle’s Head!
Oh and... [ She pauses to quickly fumble for her yimo. She’s never without it now. Then she looks at Lobco and Kei sheepishly, gesturing at the tray. ] Can I take a picture of that?

[No elaboration. He nods at Ilda.]
If you'd like to. I understand that's popular among young people.

By all means. [She leans back a bit in her chair to make sure she's not in the way of Ilda's picture]
Has it been difficult adjusting here? I find it's been....very different from my own home. If I may ask, what are the worlds where you two come from like?

She still manages to listen to the conversation, though, so when Lobco asks about worlds, she's quick to answer, pausing with her picture-taking. ] I don't know about world, since I haven't been to a lot of places yet... [ She doesn't sound happy about that, but then her tone quickly returns to its usual cheerful sound. ] But my hometown is a tiny fishing village called Mellifera. And it's so tiny, I know everyone. I even know when someone's cat has new kittens! But there really isn't much to see or do there. Just the sea... which my twin likes so much, but he's a fisherman, so I guess that's normal? I like the next town, Protepeo, better. It's a trading town. Lots of stalls and people. I sell our stuff there!

Conversely, I've been to many worlds. [A moment of hesitation. As he speaks, he becomes increasingly serious.] My homeworld was the most beautiful of them all. Was. It's gone now.
