Situation: A large influx of Dreamfolk arrive in time for one of the Lunar Festivals, and they're all invited!

A surprising amount of Dreamfolk have arrived within a short time frame - a peculiarity remarked upon by a number of Aifaran's residents. It is unusual in that it coincides with a lunar festival, one which only happens every fifty or so years.

Newcomers will find the streets packed with all sorts of people, stalls of fried and sugared foods, carnivalesque games and rides, and all other manner of things to do. Merchants are very keen to get their wares out there, and the stipend given may just burn a hole in your pocket when you see what's for sale.

He's hugging her just as tightly, which might surprise her. He's laughing, too. He's not alone. He's not alone.

"I missed you."

[lasergrenades]

She's expecting a little more hesitation but the return of the hug isn't unwelcome by any stretch.

"Well, now you don't have to," Pepper announces. "Man, this is weird, right? Pretty sure Tu Vishan dropped us off at the wrong station. Did you just get here? Do you have roommates yet? Oh, where's your yimo, we should exchange numbers."

Priorities, Pepper.

"No kidding. Wrong station, wrong timezone. I've only been here for a few hours, and I haven't met my roommates--" And then he starts laughing, because he'd forgotten over their few weeks apart just how quickly Pepper's motormouth ran.

He's not going to ask the state of things back home. He's not sure he wants to know.

[lasergrenades]

"I've been here a couple days, it's been... an experience. Not all a bad one, thankfully." She draws back, making an excited noise. "Oh, hey, have you found your crazy magic tattoo yet? No soul gems this time around, it's weird, I actually miss mine."

It dawns on her then that they're still standing in the doorway. The motormouth continues: "C'mon lets sit or go inside or something, lemme check out your new digs. Leo's one of my roommates, remember him? And this new woman named Eve."

"I haven't looked. I heard something about it, but I was a little preoccupied." Mostly with the shock of a. being back, and b. being alone. And c. being so far in the future. Too many things were happening at once.

"I, for one, am glad to have my soul back where it belongs," he says, remembering how Tony's gem had been stolen and how horribly sick he'd gotten. "Yeah! Come on, come in," he says, letting her in. "I remember Leo."

Pepper offers Gene an understanding smile that's a few notches down in intensity; she's still excited that Gene is here, too, but it doesn't take a telepath to know what might have had him 'preoccupied'.

His room is about the same size and arrangement as hers. "Yeah, same. The gem was pretty, but at least now we can't lose the thing that's supposed to be keeping us here." Probably. She holds up her left wrist. "Mine was easy to spot. No idea what I can do with it yet, though. I've spent most of my time exploring."
