[EVENT] Moon and Mirrors (Welcome Mingle Log)

Situation: A large influx of Dreamfolk arrive in time for one of the Lunar Festivals, and they're all invited!

A surprising amount of Dreamfolk have arrived within a short time frame - a peculiarity remarked upon by a number of Aifaran's residents. It is unusual in that it coincides with a lunar festival, one which only happens every fifty or so years.

Newcomers will find the streets packed with all sorts of people, stalls of fried and sugared foods, carnivalesque games and rides, and all other manner of things to do. Merchants are very keen to get their wares out there, and the stipend given may just burn a hole in your pocket when you see what's for sale.

[This is absurd, but also amusing. But sure, she's got the rose back and the crowd has dialed it back from an outright stampede, and Pepper can't help but giggle just a little bit.]

Uh, sure. Yeah. Back to business.

[She's not sure what to make of 'sideshows', but that's a problem for later. Pepper finds her way back to her seat, intent on watching the rest of the show and then going to apologize for the accidental ruckus. If she can't talk her way backstage, the rose will probably be some kind of secret fashion passport, so she does keep it with her once the show is done and there are Arybar to convince of her legitimacy.]

[ It's quite simple. At this event, there are two kinds of performers: Hibiki, and everybody else. Just like every event. That is simply the way things are.

In any case, since Hibiki did promise to be more accessible to her fans after the show, she's actually out and about and looking for the girl with the rose. ] Hey. You came.

[ Hibiki is holding a piece of something cold wrapped in a decorative scarf to the side of her head after a selys nearly tugged her hair out experimenting with it. But she's smiling brilliantly, so. Don't worry about it. ] I made you wait.

[ She grins. Did the air just....glitter? ]

[The redhead is lingering near the stage, flipping through something on her yimo with the aforementioned rose in her lap. She raises her head, smiling slightly. Well, the model is sure... shimmery.]

It's fine. I figured I should stick around and apologize for the almost-stampede. [The scarf gets a look, Pepper's smile going a little concerned.] You okay? Was someone having a fit and throwing shoes back there?

[ What - ah, the cold pack. Hibiki blinks, looking ill for half a second. ] Revolution...requires sacrifice.

[ She lowers her compress to make a more charming impression. There are definitely little sparkles hanging in the air. Some of them are even making a little "twinkle" sound effect. ] I'm pleased my present singled out a young lady as considerate as you.

[So what Pepper is getting is that drama is not just a stage act. The sparkling is momentarily distracting, if only because she's not sure where the heck its coming from. She laughs a little.]

Well, I think that was more random than anything else, but that's nice of you to say. [She holds a hand out, as though to shake hands with the model.] I'm Pepper, by the way. You looked like you're pretty comfortable up on stage. Have you been doing this for a while?

I suppose. [ Ten years. Though, she's been the most important thing in the room since the day she was born. To Hibiki, that's just the way the world has always worked. Why should it stop just because she's out in the puniverse now?

Hibiki sets the compress aside to take that hand. But instead of shaking it, she lifts it to her lips. ] Once again: I'm Shikyoin Hibiki.

[ She will try to kiss that hand. And not just brushing her lips: the sort of kiss that might get somebody interested what being kissed on the face would be like. ] Charmed to make your acquaintance, mademoiselle Pepper.

[...is-- is Hibiki flirting with her? Pepper giggles again, a little startled this time. She doesn't strictly mind if it's flirting or just some kind of act, it's purely unexpected.]

Right back at you. Have you been here long? [She's fairly certain she remembers seeing Hibiki glittering at the Dreaming Bridge. Girl's hard to miss.] Most Dreamfolk aren't usually interested in diving into the public scene so fast. You looked great, though. How was it wearing a snake?

I've had unrulier costars.

[ Hibiki is absolutely flirting. The fact that is also an act does not make it any less flirting. Such is the essence of pure amore.

She straightens out of the hand kiss, brushing Pepper's fingers with her own as she drops her hand. ]

Acting is an everyday occurrence for me. This was my Khu Ioduan debut, however.

I'll bet. Seems like the drama could be pretty high.

[Amore, indeed.]

Congrats, then! I guess the Dreaming had good timing for you, showing up in the middle of a festival. Think you'll keep it up? You might've just found yourself a job, [she adds lightly.]

It was a pleasing opening act.

[ Even the snakes were well-behaved, and Hibiki appreciated how they were clearly bred to be Exclusive and Decorative. If there is sufficient culture here that adheres thus to her ideals, she may pass quite the comfortable vacances here. ] Well, I'm mostly here on a promotional tour. Making the acquaintance of such charming mesdemoiselles is a satisfactory bonus.

[Pepper gets the feeling that this is usually the part where someone swoons. There is no graceful fall to be caught by Hibiki, but there is an amused look.]

Can't say I've ever met a fashion model at the runway before, so I think it turned out well for both of us. Do you need to be somewhere? I'd be interested in learning more about where you're from, if you've got the time to grab tea or something.

Escorting you would be a delight.

[ Plus you said "tea". All of Hibiki's own plans for the afternoon happened to involve that very beverage. ] I'll instruct you thoroughly in the splendor of PriPara, and myself.

[ There...isn't actually a spotlight in this room, right?

Trick of the light, then. ]

[Pepper is beginning to wonder if Hibiki has some magical lighting effect powers.]

Ooh, that sounds like it'll be fun. I think I saw a cafe a few blocks over - I've only just started scoping out the best ones, this city is huge.

[She offers her arm, since that seems like the thing to do, and stage whispers:] Think we can escape without being sighted by your new horde of adoring fans?

[ Hibiki has the full power of thirty years of shoujo manga and anime condensed into parody at her fingertips. When it comes to environmental effects, she is invincible.

Hibiki loops her arm around Pepper's, clearly intending to take the lead, and smirks. Nice and close to Pepper's face. ] Leave that to me.

[ Don't you feel reassured knowing that Shikyoin Hibiki has a Plan? ]
