March Catch-All
Characters: Sheena and YOU!
Date: March 17th on
Location: Aifaran
Situation: Sheena's getting praised all over the place...And fighting for her right to not be paid. WHAT?
Warnings/Rating: None!
Justice: - Tell Us More
Sometimes the phrase "no good deed goes unpunished" fits Sheena's life perfectly.
Like right now, for instance.
She's just sitting in a cafe, having lunch and going through her mail when she spots a letter from the Verdant Sentry. Brows knitting together in confusion, she opens the letter, her eyes growing wider as she reads the words on the page. Eyes not leaving the page, her voice carries over the din from the other customers.
"You have got to be kidding me!"
---------------
Arts: - Paid in Exposure
"No. I can't do that," Sheena's telling the owner of her favorite cafe. "It's not right. I do these," and she points to several pictures of flowers, "for fun. I'm honored that you want to display them, but--"
"Then it's settled!" The owner cuts her off before she can finish and grins widely as he holds out his hand to shake on it.
"No, it isn't!" Looking around desperately, she grabs the attention of the first person she sees. "Could you do me a favor? could you please tell him he doesn't have to pay me to display these paintings? He doesn't want to listen to me!"
---------------
Wildcard: - Let your wild side take you!

"I...don't think that's going to work too well. It looks like art is really appreciated here."
He glances over at the pictures.
"They are really nice, though."

Glancing at the owner, Sheena sighs and nods, a light blush on her cheeks. "I've noticed that, too, and I don't mind that he likes them. But he wants to pay me for them! I can't charge him for something I did for fun!" What a strange problem to have, isn't it?
She looks at the pictures still on the table, then back at Eiji.
"Thanks," she says, her blush deepening a little. "I actually sketched them here." Sighing, she looks at the owner, who has moved off. "Now, I know why he had asked me to bring them back once they were done," she says a little defeatedly, sinking down in to her seat.

Too bad Eiji only just started working there, so he's not sure he's the right person to try to convince the owner that he didn't have to pay.
"Really? That's nice!"
no subject
"Yes! But he still won't back down from paying me." She looks thoughtful for a moment. "Maybe if I give it back to him in the form of a tip..."
Something she's pretty sure the owner wouldn't let her do, but she's going to give him back that money somehow.
Chuckling slightly in embarrassment, she nods a little easier this time. "Um, yeah. This place is actually kind of quiet despite how busy it is at times. It makes it easy to picture things without getting distracted." She traces the lines of one of the flowers. "It's been a while since I've seen this kind of flower in person."
no subject
He really doesn't know anything about flowers, but he smiles. "It's really pretty. Is it from your home, or did you travel somewhere to see it?"
