[Mission Event] Moqsing TQ-727
Characters: Any and all!
Date: March 25th - April 5th
Location: Recovery ships out on the great wide ocean
Situation: Recovery/Salvaging of the Moqsing TQ-727.
Warnings/Rating: Descriptions of injuries
AC Note: This log will qualify for an AC Exemption, meaning you can use your comments from it for either March or April AC, but not both.

The Naval Division reported the discovery of a new Shunt: a hulking metal behemoth floating in the ocean.
Initial observations made from their safe distance do not report any signs of life, however
only the designation visible at various intervals along its outer shell: Moqsing TQ-727.
Exploratory teams are quickly assembled for reconnaissance and probable collection of resources.
The Naval Division's main recovery ship, the Ikimitanu, captained by a Castian woman named Moneku, has anchored just outside the borders of the Shunt, approximately 500 yards away from the downed ship. Smaller boats are being used to ferry survivors and recovered items back from the cargo ship, and the wide deck of the Ikimitanu is being used for both sorting and storage as well as emergency triage.
Overseers move up and down the crowded, organized chaos; many of them are veterans of previous Shunt missions. There's a high-energy, high-stress vibe around everything, and the supervisors will frequently remind the volunteers that time is of the essence and that the downed ship can disappear at any moment, taking any left aboard it away from Konryu, probably never to be seen again.

SURVIVORS
Although the initial report from the Naval Division's observations was that there were no survivors on the obviously-crashed ship, it turns out they were wrong! The first responders came across a trio of panicked crew members huddled on the outer hull of the ship - not by choice, because the hatch they exited from has been barred behind them and they've been stuck outside! It seems something terrified whoever's left inside and they won't open the doors.
The crew members identify themselves as a race called Corfuhl, and are mostly humanoid in shape and form, albeit taller and stockier, with their average height being over 6' and both sexes being quite muscular. They're more durable than the average human, but not durable enough to weather a crash through atmo and into the ocean without injury, and everything from bruises and broken bones to serious internal injuries afflict the extracted survivors.
This far outside of the barrier, the translation magic that keeps everyone on the archipelago able to speak to each other seems strained - one moment the survivors will be communicating fine, and the next they're freaking out because they can't understand whatever's being said, and they have no idea why.

ENGINEERING TEAMS
Once the Shunt is identified as a ship of some kind, the experts in xeno-engineering put a call out for people with relevant skills. The team lead is a short Muin woman with shockingly purple hair and a no-nonsense attitude named Lauristal, but her regular team will typically call her 'Cable'.
The silhouette of the Moqsing TQ-727 is blocky, like a 6-storey building turned on its side. Very quickly, the engineers start calling it the 'Space Brick'. The propulsion systems are of particular interest; it's unclear whether the salt water of the ocean has started to affect the engines yet, but Lauristal wants them salvaged as quickly as possible. The computer systems, if there are any, are also a top priority. There could be valuable data about the engine function, as well as the world the ship comes from. Because these tasks are both large and potentially complicated, there will be two separate engineering teams.

CARGO
A pair of male Sinayg supervisors, Veik and Bref, are overseeing the resource collection. They're gruff and not much for conversation, but they'll direct the team members into the depths of the cargo hauler with a surety that's nearly unmatched - the benefit of having long navigated their native home without sight being their primary sense.
The primary cargo is an unknown ore with strange properties - it seems to have "memory", allowing it to not only retain but even possibly revert to other shapes under certain conditions. Although the majority of the ore cargo is in its unrefined/raw state, and therefore inert, a large number of the tools on the ship are also comprised of this same metal and may be suitable for testing its properties. Inquiring with the survivors will confirm the the metal is from a particular type of meteor that their people are adept at mining. In its ore form, the material is called Praonyte, and in its refined form, Praonyx.

AIFARAN DOCKS
Once the presence of injured survivors was established, an emergency medical clinic is set up at the Aifaran docks, awaiting the arrival of the Ikimitanu back to port. Those with healing skill, whether magical or mundane, are being called from all over the city and being put on standby.
The lead healer in charge of the emergency clinic is a tall Arybar named Em'nyse, sweeping through the assembled volunteers with practiced patience. "Radio communications from the ship have confirmed the survivors are called Corfuhl, does anyone recognize this name? They appear similar in physiology to Castians, Muin, and Humans. Step forward if you have experience triage situations. First aid responders, over there on the left please, magical healers on the right. Don't dawdle - we've got the most critical cases coming by air within 20 minutes!"
